As announced on Sunday by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, there will be a specialised 3D printing hub that will include a research centre, an academy and laboratories for technological development and testing purposes.
There will be also business accelerators programs for start-ups who are embracing 3D – printing technology.
A key initiative of Dubai is to be one of the leading hub for 3D printing by 2030 with more than 25% of buildings constructed using the new technology.
Office of the Future
In fact the first operational 3D printed office has been build in Dubai in the Emirates Towers named Office of the Future.
The second one was the invocation centre of Dubai municipality which has also won a Guinness world record as the first 3D printed building with two floors.
