Dubai conquers a new record. October 2016 is the official inauguration date for the largest amusement park in the world.
It will be called Dubai Parks and Resorts and will comprise three separate theme parks and one water park: Motiongate Dubai, LEGOLAND Dubai, LEGOLAND Water Park and Bollywood Parks.
The development will also host Lapita Autograph Collection Hotels, a Polynesian themed resort which will be managed by the Marriott Group, and Riverland Dubai, a 220,000 square feet complementary and centrally located retail, dining and entertainment district connecting the three theme parks and hotel.
Riverland Dubai will be the heart of the project: a series of pedestrian-only areas inspired by the most famous public locations all over the world: from the ramblas in Barcelona to Covent Garden in London and Times Square in New YorkThe large-scale AED 10.5 billion project is spread across 25 million square feet of land strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road close to the Jebel Ali Palm between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.. According to estimates, the park should welcome some 6.7 million visitors in its first year of activity.
