“Arabian fashion is fascinating and since it is rich in history and traditions, one can easily take inspiration from it.”
With this statement by Stefano Gabbana, D&G enriches its worldwide brand with a new gigantic store in Dubai with a new feed.
Not so long ago Vogue stated the potential of the Middle Eastern market.
Muslim shoppers spent $266 billion on clothing and footwear in 2013 and are expected to spend $484 billion by 2019, according to a report by Thomson Reuters.
From the opening of the first showroom in the USA in the late 90’s, D&G has grown and it’s still growing thanks to the creative minds and great passion behind this brand.
As the brand changes so the style and the ideas behind the collection.
This time the floral pattern and Sicilian culture are mixed in a complete traditional Arabic collection: abaya and hijab.
Laces, all black fabric and floral are one of the icon items of the Sicilian culture, leitmotif of Dolce&Gabbana brand.
“For this collection, we kept some of our iconic elements, such as the lace and polka dots, with the addition of animal prints”
said Stefano Gabbana.
Dolce&Gabbana: the store
The new collection can be found in its newly opened flagship store in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.
The collection is available across Dolce & Gabbana stores, but the Mall of the Emirates boutique houses a private viewing room for VIP customers.
The store is a two-floor boutique designed with marble facades, velvet furniture, black chandeliers, and gold touches. It includes men’s and women’s collections.
Stepping inside it is like entering an opulent walk-in wardrobe. Spanning two floors, the 1,103-square-metre boutique has a Sahara Noir marble facade with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the new collections. The store is D&G’s largest in the region, with a special made-to-measure suit section for men.
A spiral staircase connects the two levels, with spaces showcasing scarves, bags and leather goods, through to seasonal separates and eveningwear. There is also a dedicated room for shoes and jewelry.
