His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday 27th met President Ueli Maurer of the Swiss Confederation, at the Abu Dhabi Youth Hub.
His Highness expressed his hope that the UAE-Switzerland relations would see further progress in various areas that serve both peoples and common interests.
The Swiss President had the chance to meet also His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed means to further develop bilateral ties between the UAE and the Swiss Confederation. The UAE is Switzerland’s primary GCC trade partner and tourism source market.
Maurer assured his presence at the ceremony of the Swiss pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai. and also confirmed the interest of Swiss banks to cooperate further with their UAE peers.
The Swiss President showed appreciation on the UAE’s role in supporting peace and stability, regionally and globally.
